Jesse Eisenberg is Lex Luthor Now. Jeremy Irons is Our Favorite Gotham Butler.

If you’ve been hankering for more DC casting news, two heavyweights have just been announced for the upcoming Batman vs. Superman film!

We were not expecting one of these.

It turns out that Jesse Eisnberg has been tapped for Superman fan-favorite arch nemesis Lex Luthor. So we’re assuming that he’s going to play Luthor like Mark Zuckerberg on an even more grandiose power trip.

Actually… that could really work.

And for Batman’s loyal family butler, Alfred Pennyworth, we have Jeremy Irons. Which falls nicely into ‘excellent veteran English actor territory,’ but we’re still holding out for a portrayal that falls under the banner of one of our favorite Irons roles:
